Catechism Residential Camp for the year 2018 was inaugurated at Surat on 16thNov,2018 at 10.30 am. Around 60 children from Vapi, Surat, Baroda and Ahmedabad have participated. Rev Brothers- Martin OIC, David OIC, Henry OIC & Sujo from Bethany Ashram, Pune led the camp with preachings, prayers and play. August presence and full time involvement of Rev Fr Devasia, Kuthirakallil ,Rev Fr Ani Zachariah, Rev Fr Binoy George, Rev Sr Vimala OSS, Rev Sr Blessy Thomas, OSS, Rev Sr Mariyalit, OSS & Rev Sr Soumya, OSS encouraged and enlightened the children.
Children were divided into two teams; Mar Gregorius and Mar Baselius. Cultural programs and competitions were held in the night. The whole three days were filled with fun and frolic. On the concluding night of 17th Nov, there was candle procession and bone -fire which were enjoyed by all.
Rev Fr. Devasia Kuthirakallil, Vicar of Baroda & Ahmedabad Parishes and MCYM Director of Gurgaon Diocese conducted a special class for Mathruvedi on mission activities
Sumptuous food was served with the help of Mathruvedi, Pithruvedi and MCYM members.Various cultural programs were conducted in the night.
Camp ended after Holy Mass on Sunday , 18th Nov,2018. Prizes were distributed to all winners in competitions, best campers, King and Queen etc . With fond and nostalgic memories, children departed to their places with the promise and hope of meeting again in 2019
